Although, it’s been about a month and a half since I took a trip to the amazing city of Paris, I decided to write a post about this city because it amazes me. Keep in mind, when I was in this city the Christmas season was approaching so the city was covered in lights and festive colors.
First of all, I am going to talk about the Eiffel Tower. When people think of Paris one of the images that pops into their head is the tower that looks over the entire city and is known to be one the most famous tourist attractions. As soon as you start approaching the Eiffel Tower you start seeing people selling items in the street, performing magic tricks and many other things to earn money. Once you get to the Eiffel tower and look up it’s a sight that you can’t forget. It looks never ending and gives you chills on how it towers over you and is seen by many people like the “jewel” of the city.

Another place that is known well in Paris is Le Champs Elysèe. It is a street full of brand- name stores and restaurants. During the month of December, the trees that line the street were covered in Red Lights and the Arc de Triomphe is at the end of the street. Whether you walk through the street during the summer or winter, day or night, there is always activity and people walking around this area. Near this is also the Obelix which is a tower which is Egyptian.

Another must-see place in Paris is the Louvre which serves as a museum now and houses the famous, Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo da Vinci. In history, the Louvre used to be the palace where Louis XVI lived before he went to live in Versailles. The Louvre can be characterized by a glass pyramid that is above the main square of the museum.

As I toured Paris there were many trees and lights due to the holiday season, so below I will post a couple of these pictures that I was able to capture as I was walking through the city.

One day, I went outside of Paris to the countryside. While I was there I visited the Abbatiale de Saint Lue-D’Esserent which is a church and used to be a monastery. I also visited the Palais Chantilly which is supposedly where Chantilly cream was invented. It is a palace surrounded by beautiful greenery and water. I also visited Royamont which was also a monastery with beautiful gardens.

When I was in Paris I also visited the Buren’s Columns and an indoor hidden market with an antique bookstore and cute cafes. It was right nest to Buren’s Columns and was so unique with it’s tile floors and festive lights.

It was an amazing trip where I got to see a lot of new places. Paris is an amazing, historic city to visit at any time of the year, each season with its surprises. Hope you enjoyed this overview of my visit to Paris.
Sincerely,
The Eternal Traveler
